It is our preference that we meet at our residence. However,  for certain circumstances we offer delivery up to 300 miles and schedule availability for a fee of $100 +75 cents per mile from zip code 52646.  If you are located further than 300 miles, we could enlist a puppy nanny to accommodate.  Delivery is only available for puppies with a health guarantee.  Bill of Sale is for pickup only.

Health & Nutrition

All puppies go home with 2 doses of - Nobivac Canine 1-DAPPv - which is a 5-way modified live canine vaccine. For protection against canine distemper, adenovirus type 2 (and hepatitis), parainfluenza and parvovirus. A minimum of two doses is required for primary immunization.

- Dog Food - Diamond Naturals Large Breed Puppy (or equivalent high quality dog food where large percentage of ingredients are meat based) - we also provide eggs & liver to our adults during heat cycles, gestation & puppy care)

If Diamond Naturals are not locally available, Purina Pro Plan is another good option.

- Puppies Dewormed at week 2,4,6,8 with Pyrantel

-Puppies given Ivermectin for Heart Worm prevention at 6 weeks.

Temperament

Determining a puppy's temperament is very difficult in the first 8 weeks of age.  The interaction with puppy siblings can indicate the dominant puppy and the most timid.  However, the puppies demeanor has the tendency to change when removed from the litter, and is in its new environment.

Health Guarantee

Our puppies are AKC registerable. We have put great effort into our breeding program to mitigate breed specific genetic maladies.  Our breeding females come from a family of dogs that are well known… with 3 generations of history.  Our male (Ollie), whom we purchased as a pup, came from parents that were both tested and scored excellent for hips and elbows. Our Puppies come with a 12 health guarantee for any breed specific disorder.  Click on this link to view.

Kennel Tours

For biosecurity reasons, we do not offer kennel tours.  If you are wanting to meet the parents, we are glad to bring them out into the yard.   Check out the below video to see our kennel!

What goes in a puppy price:

Occasionally, we receive feedback that our prices are too high.  I will be very transparent why and how we arrived at the price of our puppies.
1.  Nobody raises puppies for free.  Each breeder desires to be fairly compensated for their time and efforts.  Simple economics would state that if a breeder needs a certain amount to live and goes the route of offering puppies at lower prices, that breeder will need to raise a higher volume of puppies.
2.  Another limitation is time:  If a breeder needs to raise a lot of puppies to be compensated enough to provide enough for their operation, each puppy receives less of the breeder's time when the number of puppies goes up.
3.  Health & Care considerations:  - Each dog in the operation needs proper care, nutrition, a base level of genetic vetting to ensure that the breeder is providing healthy puppies that will only improve the breed and not release puppies with genetic problems.  High quality nutrition, testing, vet care, and other considerations come at a cost:  Logic would have to conclude that if lower price animals are being offered, the veracity of the health program could potentially be compromised.
4. Spatial considerations:  The more dogs a breeder has, often space is limited.  Does the dogs have a good amount of space to run?

If you are looking for a low-price option, check with a shelter. What is often not considered is the cost of a pet over the life of the pet.  I.E. - person buys shelter puppy.  The puppy lives 13 years.  During year 6, it is discovered that the dog has major arthritis and needs medicine.  That medicine cost $80 per month, for the rest of the dogs' life.  Now, I can't sit here and guarantee that it won't ever happen to our dogs, but we are trying our best to mitigate that it won't happen.
We have a small number of breeding animals at a price to provide quality puppies that are well socialized, lots of room to run and are setup genetically for success. In addition, we want to keep it small to continue to enjoy puppies & the people!  Thank you for reading this far!
